Welcome back, I'm Megan and I help business owners get more clients from social media.

I recently posted a video on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest for 14 days straight and we're going to go over what happened. So some disclaimers about these 14 videos. Number one I did post 14 days in a row however this is only including weekdays. I posted Monday through Friday for 14 days so ended up being 3 weeks worth of content if you take out the weekends. This is because I don't work on weekends and I use that time to spend time with family, friends, go travel, which I did during those weekends, so I can rest and reset on those days. And yes I could have scheduled these videos to go out over the weekend without me having to technically 'work' on those days but I try and take weekends off as much as I possibly can so if I did schedule out a post and I was getting notifications coming in, either likes or comments, then it's really hard to not click on those and check how the post is doing. So I just don't post those days so I'm not tempted to go and check social media. Number two these weren't random videos. I actually created a Confidence Series where I went and taught business owners how to increase their confidence on camera so that way they can be posting video content more regularly and consistently. Number three I did have multiple goals while completing this fourteen day series but it might not be the goal that you are thinking of. Most people are going and posting every day on social media to get more likes, engagement, follows, and while I did get those, that wasn't my primary reason for doing these 14 days of videos. My number one goal was testing. All the videos had a similar layout, similar background, and very similar messaging, so I wanted to see how these would test on different platforms and on different days of the week. I also took this as a chance to practice editing my videos and I used capcut for that. My second goal was to use this 14-day series as a habit builder. Before I started this 14-day series I was experiencing a bit of impostor syndrome in my business which really led me to inconsistent posting and putting less content out there. And this happens to every business owner at one point or another there's always highs and lows so I wanted to use this series as a way to get out of that funk and force myself to post and get into the habit of creating more content regularly like I used to. But the key here is getting back into it with boundaries like not posting on weekends and having some fun with it so trying to start new things, try out new trends, it really helped to switch my mindset from trying to increase followers to educating my current audience and being able to see this as a testing phase of what do I like creating right now, what is my audience responding to right now. Last disclaimer, I do have small accounts across all of these platforms so while these numbers might not seem that big it's all about progress for me like I said I'm testing everything as I go and taking it day by day. I'm coming on here to share my journey so hopefully I inspire people to create more videos and test more things, but everyone's business journey and growth journey will be completely different.
So let's get into these results. I'm primarily going to go over interactions, video views, and impressions. So these are numbers that I got from around three weeks worth of data because it's including the weekends that I didn't post on Instagram. I increased 42.7% Facebook 179.2% TikTok 542.86% Youtube 857.14% and Pinterest 150%. Some things to keep in mind with the numbers that come up is that Instagram had the smallest increase of interactions and that is most likely because that's the platform I was posting the most on before the series. TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest I was posting on about once a week so this was a big increase for those platforms. Now getting into views. Instagram was about 206 to 511 views per video Facebook was anywhere from 9 to 239 TikTok was 622 to 1,718 YouTube was 8 to 121 and Pinterest was 1 to 7. And the way I saw these numbers is things like TikTok where I got the most amount of views is a platform where you're generally going to get the most amount of views right when you post it. And then a platform like YouTube and Pinterest where I got way less views are platforms where you're not going to see the most views right away, it's more of an evergreen search engine so people will be searching up my videos over time and I will be getting more views in a longer period of time. Next we're going to go over Impressions. Instagram I had a 29.4% increase Facebook 187.55% per increase TikTok 273.9% per increase YouTube was a 73.38% increase and Pinterest was 91.67% increase and these numbers are a great representation of how each platform is so different when it comes to how many people you can reach. TikTok has the highest number of Impressions which means that it's being pushed to the max amount of people compared to the other platforms. Instagram again had a smaller increase because I was actually posting on that platform a lot before I did this series whereas Facebook I had way less posts and so that was increased dramatically. Now going going over my videos overall, I didn't see any major fluctuations in the performance of videos based off the day I was posting however, I did notice that the very first one I posted where I announced my series definitely got the most engagement across the board on every platform. And I think this is because one I was announcing something new and exciting and two it really encouraged people to start following me so they could see the rest of the series. Overall I was really happy that I did complete this series it is a challenge to commit to posting every day for 14 days however I think it is worth it when it comes to the benefits of testing videos. The numbers I showed about interactions, impressions, and views obviously does tell me which platform is going to be best for these types of videos and what types of people I'm reaching on each platform, However being able to practice my editing skills, talking to the camera, and having people tell me how the series has impacted them, is way more beneficial in my eyes than any numbers were. I will admit that the day after the 14th video I woke up and didn't have to post a video, I was pretty relieved. I think that 14 days straight seems like it's not that long of a time but when you're on day three you're like oh my gosh I still have 11 more videos to post on this specific series so it does put you in a bit of a box, however, it also gives your audience something to look forward to when they're following along in the series. I'm not a big fan of posting every single day all the time because burnout is so real and recently I have seen a trend of people leaving different social media platforms because of burnout or frustration with the algorithm. And I totally get it, it's easy to get swept up in what everyone says is 'right' on social media and everything you should be trying and when you do try everything you get burnt out because there's too much to do along with running your own business. We don't all have a bunch of time during the day so we do have to be specific about what's working and what's going to be most efficient for us in our business. And I know creating Reels and TikToks and YouTube shorts can be a little bit daunting but I do have a free Reels Webinar where I walk you through what each different type of reel is and how you can use it as a business owner. Again, it's completely free so feel free to watch all of that valuable content and try a series out for yourself. Don't forget to like this video if you found it helpful and make sure to watch this one next to see what tools I use for content creation. Thank you so much guys!

Views across all platforms have been really low lately... Here's what goals I set for these videos, the results, and why.

I posted everyday for 14 days on Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube, and Pinterest to see what performed best for my video content. Instagram Reels and Tiktok Videos are by far the most popular when it comes to short-form content creation. If you're looking for small business marketing strategies and tips, be sure to watch until the end to see if you should be posting content everyday. You can make money on all of these social media platforms but you need to test which ones are going to have a bigger response with the audience on that platform.
